Special Projects

Family Service is able to coordinate several special projects through the generosity provided by our community partners.

Holiday Food Boxes – Each year, hundreds of families receive fixings for Thanksgiving & Christmas meals with all the trimmings! Sign-ups start the month before distribution–mid-October to mid-November.
Christmas with the Marines and Toys for Tots  – At Christmas, area businesses and individuals can help our local Marines with Toys for Tots.
Back-to-School Backpacks – The added cost of school supplies is a burden that’s tough for many families to bear. Family Service provides hundreds of children with backpacks filled with classroom necessities.
Birthday Books – An anonymous donor has contributed funds to help inspire a new generation of readers! Thanks to this generous gift, Family Service provides a brand new book, complete with gift wrap, to children with an upcoming birthday.
