Food Assistance/Client Choice Program

During COVID, our food distribution process has changed.  We are providing bountiful and nutritious food boxes Monday- Friday from 10 am to 3 pm in a drive-up, socially distanced way.  Families and seniors may come to Family Service every 7 days/week, as their circumstances and need require, due to the pandemic.  Our client choice room will resume when we enter   Phase 3 of our county COVID-19 response.

Every year, more than 25,800 households receive help through this program. Each family receives up to 8 visits every 6-months. Using a guided menu, based on family size. Clients have the opportunity to shop for their own foods. Typical items include milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, bread, juice, fresh produce, multiple protein selections – such as meat, fish, beans, and rice – along with non-perishables like pasta, soup, and canned goods.

We give whatever we have available at the time.
