Volunteers play a very important role in fulfilling our mission to prevent hunger, homelessness, and poverty in Yellowstone County and surrounding areas through community involvement.
Normal volunteer hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The schedule for seasonal projects may differ.
The minimum age for volunteering is 14, unless approved in advance by the Executive Director.

When my daughter was born, she had a life-threatening condition that required us to go to Denver for treatment. With the time away, I lost my job and my rental. When we came back, Family Service helped us get back on our feet by providing amazing food boxes, baby clothes and even helped me get my GED so I could get hired again. Thank you, Family Service!
